Lin and family, I am so sorry for the loss of Mike. I hope that your memories of the good times you shared will give you strength during this difficult time. Sally Siegner
Mike was my Associate Teacher in 1983 and was an awesome role model for a kid trying to find his way in a stressful situation. He loved History, the profession, and especially the students. I thought of him often over my 34 year career, I tried to emulate his passion and compassion. I’d like to wish his family the power and comfort of memories of a life well lived.
Mike and I shared so many laughs and camaraderie while at Parkside. We shared a wavelength! I truly enjoyed his sense of humour and friendship.
My sincere sympathies to those he loved.

Lin and Family, sorry for the loss of Mike. Definitely, Gone Too Soon. There were many good memories of our younger years. I remember a fishing trip in Florida with the gang. I think that young Mike and I (and a few others) spent more time on the sea-sick side of the boat. But it was memorable and we survived.
Mike was a great colleague, friend , and History teacher and coach whom I remember with such fondness…
H e was always so “ solid “ , always with a smile on his face ,and you could tell he loved his students at Parkside !
The English Dept . office and the History office were connected , so lots of laughs were had …
He will be missed by many of us who knew him…
My sympathies to his family .

My sincere condolences to the Tibensky family. I had the privilege to spend several History PD days with Mike at Wilfred Laurier over the years. Mike was a pleasure to get to know. It was a great learning opportunity to spend the day with Mike.
