Obituary
LEMON, Mark…
Mark Lemon peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Victoria Hospital, London surrounded by his loving family after facing an extended illness. He was in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Norah (nee Clarkson) Lemon for 48 years. Proud father of The Reverend Canon Robert Lemon (Trish Taylor), Catherine Howson (Christopher). Cherished grandpa of Rebekah, Jacob, Carter, Emma and Gracelyn. Dear brother of Terri Eldridge (Scott) and brother-in-law of Eric Clarkson (Joanne), Rick Clarkson (Carole), Martin Clarkson (Teresa), Terry Clarkson (Lisa) and predeceased by his sister-in-law Milly Ann (Peter Mennie). Mark will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and many colleagues.
Mark dedicated 33 years of his life to serving as a London Police Officer. Beyond his career, his main priority was his family. His greatest source of happiness was the time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories lounging by the pool. Mark also enjoyed golfing regularly, and found solace and joy in exploration, specifically cruises with his wife and family. Mark cherished and continued his Tuesday and Thursday coffee ritual with his retired buddies.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. I will remember Mark for teaching me how to swim, how to dive (front and back), and how to properly pour a beer. I will also always think of him when I hear a song by the Vengaboys.

Death of a love one is never an easy thing to experience, but as our Rev’d Canon Rob Lemon has shared with those grieving at two recent funerals this month at St. James’ Anglican Church, Stratford – they are now in heaven with our Lord whose love knows no limits.
While words cannot effectively convey our condolences on this sad event, I trust the Lemon Family knows that they are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sending our deepest condolences for the passing of your father. Our prayers go with you as you celebrate his life. God bless.

My sincerest condolences Norah, Robert and Catherine. Having known Mark for almost 50 years and working with him for 32 years, he always made me chuckle (especially at the pool parties). He was a great guy and a wonderful police officer! His greatest loves in life was Norah and their children and grandchildren. He was so proud of you all. If there is a cruise ship in Heaven, I am sure Mark is already soaking up the sun enjoying a cold one. He will be missed by so many.
Our very sincere condolences to all of the Lemon family. Although Dianne and myself never worked directly with Mark we knew him well and knew how well respected he was.
