I’m so sorry that I wasn’t still there with you, but we all knew, you were going to do this on your own terms, when you were ready.
I take comfort in knowing that you are finally at peace and rest now and not struggling to understand, anymore.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you, for everything.
You taught me to be me, to the best of my ability. I learned from you how to be strong, independent, successful, caring, nurturing, compassionate, a lover of volunteering, a teacher, a mother and so, so much more.
And, let’s face it, stubborn too.
That’s an inherited trait that I will forever cherish being, now more than ever.
Thank you too for being the best grandma and great grandma that a family could have ever asked for.
I’m going to listen to Shaun Cassidy’s first album now for awhile, like we were the other day, in your room.

I attended Bev’s fitness sessions at Tecumseh Public School a few years ago. There was always a line up to get into her sessions which tells you something. She will be missed by her family and friends. My condolences to them.

My condolences and love to you Kristi.
Your Mom & I were nursing classmates, and I always enjoyed her company. We got together a few times throughout the years. She was a “go-getter” and I always appreciated her energy & enthusiasm.

We had the privilege of living across the street from Bev and Doug for 18 years. I will always remember soon after Laura and I moved to Lyndhurst Place, that Pat had hosted a street party to which the police arrived. I was impressed that Bev stepped up and said “let me handle this”, saying the police would see we were not out of control teenagers with a white-haired woman answering the door. Meanwhile Loretta was ringing a bell for dinner in the back yard while we tried to keep it down for Bev’s reassuring talk with the police. Bev was a very social being and she and Doug enjoyed the gatherings and great conversations. Bev will be very missed.

Dear Busche Family,
My Backyard Neighbours!
Bev leaves only memories of joy and delight for me. Sharing a fence with raspberries & blackberries. Her and Doug returning the balls and discs that made there way over the fence. Lyndhurst street parties, Halloween decorations & trick or treating, and festive Christmas lights maintain a ledengdary place in my mind of what a good neighbourhood does together. Bev’s neighbourship and community focus is the best role model I know.
My parents loved Bev’s strength and leadership too. Not to mention Bev leading exercise classes, that got my mom up and out of the house! Thank you for those moments of freedom from mom being mom. It might seem small, but wow! the memory of such togetherness forms an important and formative key of what it means to live together.
Bev’s character and actions have left unalterable impression and me that I take with me into the classroom and hope to imprint, however indirect, upon them. I participate and help whenever and however I can in part to Bev’s example. She is the person I know who best represents the spirit of Canadian community champions like Terry Fox.
Thank you Bev and to her family for sharing a backyard for as long as I have lived.
Cheers to a life well lived!

I first got to know Bev when she taught fitness classes at Tecumseh School. Through those 20+ years she taught me the importance of fitness which I have continued ever since. And they were such fun classes.
In later years Paul and I developed a wonderful friendship with Bev and Doug. We shared many enjoyable meals, patio and porch visits- always with a bottle of wine or two.
Our sincere condolences to Doug, Kristi and Kevin.
Thanks for the memories Bev. You will be missed

I was lucky enough to grow up on Windsor Ave., right where it met Lyndhurst. That meant I got to be one of the kids who were, in some ways, parented by a collective. Bev was one of those moms, and I will always count her among the adults who helped raise me in my elementary school years. Much love to you and your family, Kristi.

I remember the first day I moved into my home next door to Bev and Doug, Bev came over with homemade muffins. How kind and thoughtful! It was the first year without their backyard swimming pool which had brought much fun and delight. Bev’s lovely sense of humour shone with her quick remark that she now would be found sitting outside with a spray bottle of water in hand. Bev and Doug enjoyed the family atmosphere of Lyndhurst Place. Bev had a treasure trove of stories and fond memories made over the years. My heartfelt sympathy to Doug, Kristi and family, and Kevin and Kirsty and family.

Dear Doug, Kristen and Kevin, and families,
Its with great sadness that we heard the news of Bev’s passing. We all have fond memories of Auntie Bev. The thanksgiving/christmas spent in the London area. Its was Kevin and Kirsty’s wedding party that we last saw everyone. Cannot remember when that was. lots of water under the bridge since then. Lots of challenges. Rest in peace Bev your kind soul touched alot of people.

Dear Busche Family, We fondly remember our time as next door neighbours as our rambunctious family with three young boys and a springer spaniel added noise and confusion to your existence. Bev displayed remarkable calm and fortitude throughout and handled our many episodes of boy behaviour with great grace. Thinking of you at this difficult time, Robert and boys
