My darling Al, Harold and I will always be greatful for the visit we had on Sunday May 14th. Your long battle is now at a end. When you escorted us to the door, that was your way of saying goodbye and we are greatful for that. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. When Harold goes to the Knights 2007-8 season you will be there in spirit and telling all the Angels who the Knights are. We love and will greatly miss you.

Dear Al,
I remember with great laughter the times we had as the Southwick street gang, of which you were a major part. The card games, the experimenting with booze, playgirl magazines, fights with the Barnes street gang etc.I’m really happy that we were able to communicate a bit before you left us. Say hi to Charlie and save a good spot for me.

Dear Carol:
I am deeply, deeply sorry that you forever lost this wonderful man. I will miss him very much too, because a buddy like him will be impossible to replace. At least he is not suffering any more, it hurt me very much watching him suffer for the last 10 months without being able to help him. I am sure that you will be strong and our Lord will guide you to get throuh this difficult time. One day in the future you will meet him again. Please accept our sincere condolences, Peter and Sylvia.

The true sign of a person who has led a good life is the number of friends they have had through the years. The true spirit of Al’s time with us is the number of people who called him their best friend. Of those there are many. I was proud to call Al my best friend and I will miss him greatly. Al was luckly enough to have Carol as his best friend and all of us are grateful for her loving care over the past year, she is surely a saint. Our deepest condolence to Carol and Al’s family at this time of sadness.

Dear Rupe,
I had so much fun that day we played euchre at your place, with your family, although I hadn’t played for a while, I got the hang of it with your patience, and we won! You have the best friendship in Carol and Peter, and I think you knew it too. Rupe, you’ll be missed by many, and I’m glad I had the pleasure of meeting you. My deepest condolence to Carol, Peter, and Al’s family during this time of loss.
