Dear Jens, Sharon, Amy, Brad and Kevin,
We are so sorry to hear the news about Otto’s passing. He always had such a twinkle in his eye and warmth in his heart, even for novice sailors who lost their shoes overboard!! 🙂 We sure hope that there are lots of sailboats in heaven. If there aren’t yet, there will be soon! Treasure all the wonderful memories and good times together!

Dear Jens, Sharon, Amy, Kevin and Brad
The death of a loved one is always a difficult thing. Although i never really knew Otto very well, anytime I saw him it was easy to see how wise and good humoured he was. I have always seen these characteristics in your family as well and I am sure he will always live on in your thoughts and prayers.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Otto. My condolences to the Biskaborn family. I will never forget how Otto has helped our dragonboat team members so many times and was always so supportive of our efforts. We never did persuade him to go for a ride in our boat, but he was often there watching from the shore and even making us hot chocolate when our practices ended on occasion. We could always count on Otto to offer his sage advice on whatever we were doing. He had a heart of gold and will be very much missed by our team.

Dearest Jens, Sharon, Amy, Brad and Kevin,
We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of your beloved Granpa Biskaborn.
We know you all thought highly of your father and grandfather and he was, of course, obviously very proud of your accomplishments. Conversations through the years of our friendship always included some reference to his support and interest in the family.
On meeting he gave the impression of being quietly competent, strong and self-assured. The influence of his work ethic and a love of the outdoors has not been lost on his talented grandchildren.
We know you are heartbroken. We are at a loss to express our profound sadness that we cannot help lift your burden of grief. Time will not lessen the loss of such a good and well loved person but time perhaps gives perspective and will allow you to see that he is still with you. His mannersims, smile, personality all live on in the lives of his children and grandchildren. You just have to look.
We are holding you close to our hearts and know that God holds you closer still. May you find comfort there.
With our love and sincerest condolences,
John & Siobhan.

Jens and Sharon, I am so sorry that I cannot be there to tell you this in person. Otto and I have been friends for 30+ years, and I will miss him. The ironic thing is that last week I was in the area of Huron and Highbury and made a mental note to give him a call this week and drop by for a visit. Some things should be acted on right away. My condolences to the family.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We’re sorry we can’t be with you at this time. Otto will be missed by many associated with the sailing club. A little rough around the edges at times but always with good intentions.Otto we think found his calling as Membership Chair the last few years, more precisely as manager of information. Not a shy bone in him wanting to always give more back than he got. Buoy, that trophy case at the club he donated, was really meant for his family!
