SUMMERS, E. Jean…..

Peacefully at Highview Residences, London, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, Jean (Little) Summers of London in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Charles A. “Chuck” Summers (2010). Loving mother of Steven Summers and his wife Nancy of Etobicoke and Donna Norwood and her husband David of London. Cherished grandmother of Kristen and Nick Norwood of London and Eric and Scott Summers of Etobicoke. Sister of the late Helen and Les Carmichael. Friends will be received by the family from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday July 5, 2014 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, with the funeral service being conducted at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Tracey Crick-Butler officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of London, 435 Windermere Road, London, ON, N5X 2T1.     My sincerest condolences on your Mom’s passing. I used to see her on occasion at Wesley-Knox when counting money with your Dad. She always had the brightest smile when we talked about you. May your memories be a comfort in the days ahead.

    Dad, Calum, Crista and I are so sorry to learn of Aunt Jean’s passing. Your Mom and Dad were a wonderful couple and it was fun to be included at family gatherings when they were there. I loved your Mom’s quirky sense of humour.

    Mrs. Summers was my mom’s (Beryl Reid (Cook)) best frioend growing up. When we came to London for summer holidays, we always saw the Summers’ family. Such fond memories.

    Dear Steven and Donna Jean and family. Mom and I send our deepest condolences to you all. Mom knew your mom for over 75 years and she really missed her phone calls and visits once the Alzheimers set in. Neither one of us were well enough to attend the funeral.
