GODMAN, Nancy….

Peacefully at the North Lambton Lodge, Forest, on Saturday, April 6, 2013, Miss Annie “Nancy” Godman, formerly of London, two days after her 92nd birthday passed away. Beloved daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Godman. Loving twin sister of Margaret “Peggy” Hornblower of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by her brother Kenneth Godman (February 1992). Cherished aunt of Susan Fisher (Jack), Robert Hornblower (Maria), Glenn Hornblower, Bruce Hornblower (Maryjane), Tim Hornblower, and Randy Hornblower (the late Roxanne) and their families. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (12-1pm), to the funeral service being conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 1pm. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 442 Adelaide Street, North, London ON N6B 3H8.     I’m deeply saddened to hear of Annie’s passing. I have only known Annie for a few short years during her time at NLL. But she touched my life in a very special way. I always looked forward to working and visiting with her. We talked about anything and everything under the sun, from politics and items in the news, our families, and our jobs, her life in London, and so much more. She was a very special friend of mine. I will never forget her smile or her wonderful laugh. I was sorry to not be able to attend her funeral services (as my little one was not feeling well). But I am so glad that I was able to visit with her just a couple days before she left us. My condolences to Susan and all of Annie’s family and friends.
